Dr. Bremer oversees the firm’s representations in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and heads the firm’s banking and transaction teams. In his role as head of the firm’s transaction team Dr. Bremer advises on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions and joint ventures. His team has a proven track record of structuring and advising on multi-jurisdictional M&A transactions including corporate and tax deal structuring, acquisition finance, merger control and transactional advise involving Europe and the Middle East. Furthermore, the team advises on structuring and implementation of domestic and international joint ventures in the MENA region. With the firm’s banking team Dr. Bremer consults banks and other financial institutions on cross-border lending transactions and regulatory matters. Dr. Bremer frequently advises on structuring and implementing cross-border structured, project and export transactions, corporate and acquisition finance as well as matters concerning the banking sector in the MENA region. In addition to his role at Alexander & Partner Dr. Bremer is an Executive Director of the Swiss Arab Network, organizes the MENA banking breakfast in Cairo, Riyadh and Abu Dhabi and publishes a column on banking and finance law in the MENA region for IFN.
