shares that it is important that you have more or less a preconceived idea of what you want to do, in this way, you will choose the right support for your work. You can find a wide variety of surfaces to work on:
- Racked fabric (linen, canvas or cotton)
- Lined cardboard
- Wood (For example trupan. In this case you must first prepare the surface with some type of primer such as gesso, rabbit glue or GAC 100 from Golden)
If you prefer to start using paper, I recommend Figueras de Canson paper, you can find it in different formats, both in sheets and blocks and at an affordable price. The quality of this paper is its thickness, resistance and texture (similar to that of canvas) and also, being acid-free, it has a greater durability over time.
