Orios portfolio founders were nominated by Forbes Magazine to the list of India’s brightest young business minds. Dr. Dhaval Shah and Dharmil Sheth of PharmEasy were joined by Nitin Kaushal and Chakradhar Gade, founders of Country Delight on Fortune’s 40 under 40.

PharmEasy

PharmEasy
PharmEasy was co-founded in 2015 by Dharmil Sheth and Dr. Dhaval Shah with a vision to transform the healthcare ecosystem in India through technological intervention. The startup connects patients to local pharmacies and diagnostic centers through an integrated online platform, making health care accessible and affordable. Quick and efficient doorstep deliveries enable savings on healthcare expenses all across India. Today, it is one of the largest platforms in the business. With the smart deployment of capital in building back-end operations and distribution partners investing in inventory, the Mumbai-based company has been able to more than double business each year. Apart from medicine delivery, PharmEasy is currently India’s largest e-consultation provider, and also one of the most trusted provider of home diagnostic tests, medicine dosage reminders and an automated medicine refill subscription service.

We are thrilled that Fortune Magazine has recognized Dhaval and Dharmil as amongst their 40 under 40. We knew from #DayOne that they were a super team and onto something special. PharmEasy, within a few years, has become India’s favorite place to buy medicines and one of the country’s largest distributors. Using sophisticated systems that make millions of decisions per minute, PharmEasy has driven down prices while allowing wide-area access. It has been a privilege to sit on their board and work closely all these years.

Country Delight

Country Delight
IIM Indore batchmates Nitin Kaushal and Chakradhar Gade founded Country Delight in 2013 with the objective of solving the problem of adulterated milk. “We don’t come from a background in milk production. Direct consumer feedback has taught us whatever we know,” says Gade. By listening to their customers, iterating and integrating a fully tech-enabled backend platform, the app-based subscription service delivers fresh milk and dairy products to the consumer’s doorstep via proprietary logistics network in a direct to a home subscription model. Their current lineup of products are milk, yogurt, and cottage cheese and soon to be launched bread, juices, etc. They are currently operational in the NCR area, Pune and parts of Mumbai.

It’s wonderful to see Nitin and Chakradhar as part of Fortune Magazine’s 40 under 40. Truly deserved by two of the nicest, ultra-hard working and talented entrepreneurs we know. We first invested in their Seed Round, then A and B. We knew from #DayOne that they were building what we believed to be one of the most exciting companies seen. Using technology to provide superior home delivered fresh milk and then on top of that, an array of allied products. If you live in NCR, Pune or Mumbai, you must try Country Delight, every drop delicious!
