SEO or Search Engine Optimization is a process of improving the quantity and quality of traffic to your site through organic search engine results.
There are more than 200 factors that affect your website rankings in Google, but here are some recent SEO techniques that have worked for me. Try them out if you are starting or have an existing website.
1) Start Using Schema Markup
Schema markup is a way to provide Google with information about the individual pages on your site. For example, it can tell Google which are products, people and organizations.
By doing this it will help Google display the correct rich snippets for each page in search results which makes it more likely for your site to stand out from the pack.

2) Keep Unique Titles and Descriptions For Every Page
Do not use the same title tag or description meta-tag on every page of your website. It will make it seem like you are trying to spam search engines.
3) Link Building Techniques Will Always Work!
This point is pretty obvious, but it's worth mentioning again. I'll give you an example on how I use this technique in my own business. It's easy to get high rankings for your website by getting some quality back-links from relevant sites. However, many business owners are often too busy to do this themselves.
If you don't have the time to create back-links for your site, then I recommend that you outsource this task to a reliable SEO provider like my own company . It will help you get more website traffic and increase your rankings on Google.
4) Set-up Google Alerts
Set up alerts to monitor what people are saying about your business online.
This can include keywords like:
Your Name or Business Name Your Industry and Location Competitors' Names and Business Names Anything you feel is relevant to your industry and brand You will be able to monitor any negative feedback, response quickly and resolve any issue as soon as possible.
How to engage with your audience and encourage them to share their positive experiences with others – e.g. ask them to leave a review or testimonial on Google+ and Yelp. This will help build community around your business and enable you to attract more customers through word-of-mouth referrals and recommendations.
5) Optimize Your Site for Mobile Web Browsers
There is a high chance that people using mobile devices especially smart phones will try to access your website. Having a mobile friendly site design with large text and simple user interface will help improve the chances of visitors staying on your site longer, thus giving you a better chance of converting them into customers. 6) Socialize Your Site Through Social Media Sites
The first step towards socializing your site is to have active profiles with relevant tags on top social media sites like Facebook and Twitter.
