In this course, Hoboken-based artist Charlie Steg proposes a series of activities and practices in the form of tutorial videos, so that you learn to make abstractions from photographic references, while you learn about pictorial abstraction and its types.
Each video tutorial proposes the step by step of each activity, in which you will obtain sketches that you will turn into high-quality abstract paintings, and, what is better, you will not have to copy because the work will be totally your own creation, as professional artists do.
In each video, Charlie Steg proposes different ways of making the abstraction from a photographic reference of reality, so that you can experience different forms of abstraction and different styles of creating, which will help you to find your own style.
Based on the great movements of the History of Art that have given rise to contemporary pictorial abstraction practices, and it is designed so that it can be carried out by anyone who wishes to learn about the subject and does not have prior knowledge about it.
