Event by Moe Mathews: How to Sell Your Home organized by Moe Mathews

Online

The housing market can be a scary place. Fortunately, sellers of real estate are aware of this and have made it their business to make the process as easy as possible. However, that doesn’t mean the process is without stress or tension. Selling your home can be an incredibly stressful venture, but with the right preparation, advice, and knowledge, you can get your house on the market in no time and for the best price.

Real estate investor Moe Mathews has put together a complete guide to selling your home from start to finish. He will present it in an online webinar. You can join this event on his website.

This event covers everything you should know about selling your home including tips on staging, getting the most value for it, and handling those awkward negotiations.

For over 20 years Moe Mathews has helped clients buy and sell everything from condos to luxury homes, always with outstanding customer service.

The topics that will be discussed in this webinar include:

Decide on your selling price

The first thing you’ll need to do is decide on a selling price. This can be a gut feeling or based on research you’ve done. The easiest way to go about this is to research the current market value of similar houses to yours in your neighborhood. This will give you a ballpark idea of what your house is worth. There are a number of ways you can go about this. If you have a real estate website/app, then you can use that as a starting point. If not, you can use websites like Zillow or Redfin to find the value of your home. You can also visit your local Realtor’s office. They will have a database that shows what your home is worth. This can be a good starting point.

Marketing your home

Once you’ve decided on a price and your home is ready to hit the market, it’s time to start marketing your property. This is the most important part of the process. Most people will make their decision to buy or not based on the photos and descriptions you post online. There are a few things you should do in order to market your home correctly. First, you’ll need to get a professional photographer to take stunning photos of your house. This will cost around $400-600, but it’s an investment that is definitely worth it. Trust us, you’ll want these pictures. Next, you should post your listing online on various real estate websites (like Zillow or Redfin). You’ll also want to contact a realtor and put your home on the market. This can often be done online and will cost between $150-600 depending on the state you live in.

Select a real estate agent

You’ll also want to select a real estate agent. This is the person who will sell your home for you. Their job is to get your house in front of as many potential buyers as possible. They will list your house on MLS and other real estate websites and post flyers in the area. You’ll want to go to an open house or meet with several agents in your area to select one to represent you. Most agents will charge a percentage of the final sale as a commission. This can be anywhere between 3%-6%. However, this fee is worth it for the amount of exposure you’ll receive. Real estate agents have connections and experience in the industry that you don’t. They know exactly what to do and when to do it in order to sell your house as fast as possible.
