Profile summary

Caroline Herter is an artist with a knack for capturing candid moments. With her camera, she captures the essence of people and places in little-known areas of Miami. Her images represent an aesthetic of modern minimalism, where each frame reflects a desire to strip away unnecessary elements of photography in favor to pure aesthetics. As such, her photographs have a clean and minimal appearance as they lack any superfluous embellishments. How Caroline’s Photography Career Started Caroline Herter was born on 8 January 1988 in Miami, Florida. She currently resides in Miami where she runs her photography business from home. Through her business, the Caroline Herter Photography, she offers photo sessions that include her photographs as well as other stock images from third-party suppliers like Shutterstock or Deposit Photos. As she grew up, Caroline was exposed to different art forms. Her mother was a painter while her father was a musician. This meant that she grew up with a love and appreciation of all forms of art. This was cemented when she enrolled in a photography course in high school. After repeated attempts, she finally passed the course and was awarded membership to the school’s photography club. There, she further developed her love for photography and discovered a talent for capturing candid images. When she was 18 years old, Caroline moved to Miami to attend the Florida International University. There, she met her now-husband, whom she would later marry. As she settled into life in Miami and as she made friends in the city, she began to develop a new passion. With the help of her friends, she founded a photography club in the city. This club would go on to become an important source of inspiration for Caroline. It was here that she began to learn more about the technical aspects of photography. She also explored concepts such as aesthetic and composition.
