Profile summary

Undeterred by his lack of knowledge or having any money to sustain himself, Raphael Toledano was driven by a desire to succeed. Despite all odds in the worst economic period in the 70 years after The Great Depression, Toledano came out on top. Although doors were closed to new hires given the economic climate, Raphael found himself a home at Weissman Real Estate, which focused only on residential rentals and sales. The benefits of ignorance led him to 'pound the pavement' relentlessly got Weissman Real Estate noticed among all of the other NYC household names. As expected year one yielded nothing except for an education in hard knocks. However, thereafter things turned around as he became tremendously successful. One important detail about Raphael is that he was the lone driver for his business within Weissman. Despite he chose to stay an extra year and share his commissions with the firm. This was for one reason: He felt indebted to Mark Weissman for giving him the opportunity. These shares cost them hundreds of thousands of dollars in commission payments. Success breeds success, and going out on his own gave him the opportunity to hire salespersons, and to tie up deals. From a partial ownership of small strip center in Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn, he grew into approximately 20 NYC buildings valued at $250mm +. Moreover, Toledano is a dedicated philanthropist, whose charitable deeds speak for themselves. Raphael is a proud sponsor of the food pantry and homeless shelter in the East Village as well, ensuring that those less fortunate can eat wholesome meals. Additionally, Project Extreme, an organization dealing with Tens-At-Risk, benefits from Raphael's generous heart along with his donations.
