To celebrate past successes and offer new perspectives, 0100 Conferences organizes the 4th edition of its VC&PE event in Dublin on April 29th, 2020, at Alex Hotel, in the Dublin city center.

With Ireland now established as one of the EU hubs for private equity fund management, the conference brings together leading European fund managers and investors, strong ESG advocates, successful co-investors, innovative tech investors and even a European startup unicorn.

Agenda During the Day

The program starts with the focus on impact investment. Because supporting environmental projects, gender equality, addressing social challenges and well-being are a noble quest that needs firm measurements of performance. Aoifinn Devitt, Head of investment Ireland at Hermes Investment Management, or Paul Miller, Managing partner & CEO at Bethnal Green Ventures, among others, will share their best practices in the field of supporting projects with a lasting impact.

Many challenges the European PE ecosystem faced in 2019, including the hints of a slowing economy or Brexit negotiations, might drop the overall activity. John O'Sullivan, CIO at Beechbrook Capital, and Marek Malik from the Czech PE firm Jet Investment will compare the exit activity from Western and Eastern Europe. Paul Armstrong, Managing director at Permira and Fergal McAleavey, Senior investment director at ISIF, together with other panelists, will shed more light into possible implications of Brexit on Ireland and Europe as such.

From the current topics, the conference will also cover co-investments as an interesting opportunity for both Limited as well as General Partners. The speakers, among others, include the Managing Director at HarbourVest Partners Craig MacDonald,  Richard Hope (Managing Director, Hamilton Lane), as well as Andrew Graham (Managing Partner, Kernel Capital).

Unique Keynotes from UiPath and Simon-Kucher & Partners

From the startup’s point of view, Boris Krumrey, Chief Robotics Officer at the unicorn startup UiPath, will speak about how different technologies such as Cloud, AI, BPM, Low-Code Development and Robotic Process Automation will all converge towards one Automation Platform, as well as explain how UiPath’s vision of A Robot For Every Person will change the way we work.

On top of that, Peter Colman, Partner from Simon-Kucher & Partners, the Silver Partner of the event, will address the audience with the crucial question on how to create value via the topline.
